Studious Robot

He's a robot and he's reading his way through a stack of books. This is only available as a 3D printed model on Shapeways as I have not made a t-shirt design based on it. However, if anyone is interested enough to ask I'll certainly consider it. Once again, this model does not come painted.

Robo Chess

Robotic chess set. Available for 3d printing on Shapeways. Just one side so you can order two in different colors or materials. You could also order two sides in white and either paint or dye them how you'd like. The interactive preview above and the photo below only show one of each piece, but that's just because it's easier to see them that way. Set includes eight pawns, two rooks, two bishops, two knights, one queen and one king.

Bot Earrings

Little floating robots to hover on each side of your head, ready to do your bidding. OK, they're just earrings, but you don't have to tell anyone that. Available 3d printed from Shapeways in regular and small. The interactive model above may not display on Internet Explorer. If you can't see it, here's a render to give you the idea:

Encouraging Robot

He's a robot and he's cheering everyone on. I'm sure you've had moments like this. He's meant as a companion/contrast to my Depressed Robot. I don't have a painted version of this one yet, but when I do I'll be sure to post about it. Until then you can always order one from Shapeways and paint it yourself. If you do, please share your pictures with me!
It's also available as a rather goofy looking t-shirt on Cafepress, Zazzle, Printfection, and Spreadshirt (where it's in a vector format, so you can choose your own color combinations.).

Oh, and in case you haven't noticed yet, I've started including interactive models from Sketchfab in these posts. Click and drag on the spinning model above and you can look at him from all directions! Although it may not work with Internet Explorer. If not, here's a render, so you can see what it looks like:

Musical Robot

He's a robot and he's enjoying some music. I'm sure you've had times that match his mood. He's got the head of an old boom box and is carrying a microphone. Put him on your desk at work to remind you of the good times. I printed him out on Shapeways and painted him, but you'll need to give him your own paint job.

Musical Robot from reapermediasr on Sketchfab.

Originally designed for t-shirts and for sale on Cafepress, Zazzle, Printfection, and Spreadshirt as a vector version in case you want to select your own colors.

Angry Robot

He's a robot and he's angry. I'm sure you've had days like this. I'm not sure what he's so angry about, but I'm sure he has his reasons. Maybe he caught someone using his private oil can. Whatever happened, he's lost his cool and he's going to let everyone know about it. Printed him out on Shapeways and painted him.

Originally designed for t-shirts and for sale on Cafepress, Zazzle, Printfection, and Spreadshirt. I've also got a vector version on Spreadshirt in case you want to select your own colors.

T-Rex Robot

Behold the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex, master of the Cretaceous period! The mighty and terrible lizard king! The mighty reptile terror of the- the . . .  Hey, what the heck is that inside the T-Rex? Is that a . . .
A chicken on an exercise bike? Wait a second! That's not a real dinosaur! That's a pneumatic powered, chicken driven T-Rex Robot! I don't know if that little bird's got a Napoleon complex or if he just wanted to get back to his roots, but he's somehow managed to get his claws on a pretty sweet ride. And you know what? Piloted by poultry this may be, you'd still better be ready to get out of the way if you spot that tell tale ripple in your glass of water.

Available on t-shirts from Cafepress, Zazzle, Spreadshirt, and Printfection.

Bored Robot

He's a robot and he's bored. Or maybe he's lazy. Or just taking some time to daydream a little. Either way I'm sure you've had days that match his mood. This is one of my favorite emotional robots. He's on my desk watching TV right now. Printed him out on Shapeways and painted him.

Originally designed for t-shirts and for sale on Cafepress, Zazzle, Printfection, and Spreadshirt.
I've also got a vector version on Spreadshirt but because those are limited to three colors the test pattern on his little TV face is blank.

I've been told that it's only a matter of time before nobody will even recognize the test pattern, but it's on an old ctr TV set complete with rabbit ear antennae. There's very little here that isn't incredibly out of date.

Robo Hope

I've said it before (Barely a week ago, in fact), but I look forward to the inevitable arrival of our robot overlords! Put this up on your wall and maybe you'll be one of the lucky few to survive the Great Culling. This parody of Obama's Hope poster is perfect for those of you who'd rather keep real politicians out of your politics. The text below is binary for "hope" according to a binary to text translator I found online. Available as posters and T-shirts on Cafepress and Zazzle.

To create the design I modeled and rigged the entire robot with Maya and ran some filters on the rendered image with Photoshop to get the appropriately patriotic effect. I named him Kupfer Oben because it means Copper Top in German (once again according to an online translator) and I'd textured the top of his head to look like copper, plus I found images of warning labels in German which I'd used while texturing him. I've included a video showing him in his entirety below.

Robot Rights

I don't know about you, but I welcome our robot overlords. That's why I say, "Support robot rights while you still have the option!!" Make friends with your future mechanical masters now. You may not have the chance later.

You know, looking back at this design, I just realized something about it. I'm so very glad that the bot still practicing in a peaceful protest is the one with the longer reach and the ability to climb stairs. If this happened in real life you could just run upstairs and hope he can't reach the elevator call button. The other (and I think far superior one) is to get this design on a shirt and wear it at all times, so they know whose side you're on.

I had to make some adjustments so it would also fit on a bumper sticker, but the message remains the same. Both of these designs are available on Cafepress and Zazzle (bumper sticker and shirt). Spreadshirt has the design intended for t-shirts, but I've also prepared a vector version of the angry robot with a blank sign, so you can customize his colors and his message!

I liked that angry little robot's design so much that I eventually decided that two dimensions just isn't enough. It was time I brought him into . . . The Third Dimension! (Cue spooky sci-fi music)

Yes, I created a 3D model and uploaded it to Shapeways! "But what happened to his sign?" I hear you ask.
Well, it's not just an empty frame. It is, in fact, a business card holder!
On the right you can see him holding a stack of my old business cards. I've also painted this one, but he doesn't come that way when you buy him. It's a pretty simple process, though. Shapeways' "White Strong And Flexible" material is very porous, so I spray painted him black first so the acrylic paints I used wouldn't spread.

I also based another model on the peaceful robot protester. He's supposed to be a pen holder, but I haven't ordered one for myself yet. If you have any other ideas for robot themed office supplies I'd be happy to hear your suggestions.

Robot Pirates

A robot head with crossed wrenches. I'm not sure what it's about, either, but I felt like making it. Pirates and robots; two great tastes that taste great together, right? OK, maybe it's a bit weird, but I'm easily amused. You know, I've probably got about as many pirate designs as robot designs. What can I say? I'm a geek.

Available from Cafepress, Printfection, Spreadshirt, and Zazzle (mouse pad, t-shirts, and stickers).

Depressed Robot

It's a robot and he's depressed. I'm sure you've had days like this. The version above was 3D printed on Shapeways from laser sintered nylon and hand painted. It's printed white and you can order it dyed various colors but it's very easy to paint if you're interested in that sort of thing.
It's also available in 2D on a variety of products on Cafepress, Zazzle, Spreadshirt (pixel and vector), and Printfection. This is one of my favorites. In fact, I'm wearing a shirt with the vector version printed on it right now. It's got the flex print metallic silver and is nice and shiny.

Robots For Sale

This newest blog showcasing individual themes from my stores focuses on robots. I grew up on a steady diet of Science Fiction and my favorites always relied heavily on our mechanical friends. Star Wars, Short Circuit, Robotech, Gobots, and Transformers - you couldn't turn on the TV, go to the movies, or walk down the toy aisle without seeing robots. Heck, in the 80's, nearly every toy I owned either turned was a robot or turned into one. I swear, buried in a box somewhere in my childhood home is a little, yellow, plastic cube that turns into a robot. My brother had a sphere that did the same. Why? Why not! Robots are awesome and that's all the reason I needed.

These are available for sale on all my various online stores such as Cafepress, Zazzle, Spreadshirt,Printfection, Spoonflower, Shapeways, and MySoti. The Spreadshirt page is for my shop, where I've got t-shirts already designed but you can design your own by clicking here, then "Choose Design", and search for "will la puerta". Some of those links will take you right to geeky designs, but some stores don't have categories to keep things organized like that. You can also keep up with all my latest additions on the Reaper Media Facebook Page.

I visualize a time when we will be to robots what dogs are to humans, and I'm rooting for the machines.
